Welcome back with two Community Meetings in September

Post date: Aug 28, 2014 5:42:01 PM

Upstate, South Carolina - I hope the summer was calming and full of friends and relaxing vacations. In the midst of your return to school, work, or retirement, we want to encourage you to attend our two Community Support Meetings this Fall - starting with our September meetings in Greenville (Sept. 3rd) and Anderson (Sept. 10th). We have lined up two excellent speakers with great stories about their experience treating and dealing with Lymphedema.

In Greenville, our own, Annette Clellan, will share her story of weight loss by using the Weight Watchers™ program. Annette is an original member of Upstate Monarchs but her story might not be known to most of our members. Since 2006, Annette lost nearly 230 pounds through the program and continues to maintain her healthy status. Controlling our weight is an essential part of a maintenance program for controlling Lymphedema, and we hope Annette's Story will inspire you to create your own plan.

In Anderson, we are planning a special meeting with an interesting speaker, Latisha Richardson of AnMed Health, who is a great resource for what is available in the Anderson community. She can address insurance questions and funding needs. She is very knowledgeable about healthcare and how to navigate what is available in Anderson.

Both speakers are a great way to start off our 2014 Fall Schedule and I look forward to seeing each of you at either of the meetings. These Community support meetings are meant to be catalyst for all of us to keep "attacking" our lymphedema and maintaining our health.

For more information, please contact me at our group emailing address, contact@upstatemonarchs.org, or our group phone number (864) 214-6006 or contact Kathy Garraty in Anderson (864) 225-6784 (kathy.garraty@gmail.com).

Join us as we continue to encourage each other this Fall!

Sincerely,

Bobby
